About Us

Hello!

My name is Tina.

I am a Certified Structured Literacy & Dyslexia Interventionist (CERI), an Accredited Member of the Australian Dyslexia Association (AMADA), a registered teacher, and the founder of The Literacy Shed Taupō.

I provide high-quality, Structured Literacy Intervention that will make a difference in the lives of children with Dyslexia.

All students can learn to read and write, regardless of their starting point. I am dedicated to working with families and schools to ensure that every student has the chance to succeed.

I strive to create a learning atmosphere that helps children build the foundations of reading and comprehension while building self-confidence. I use evidence-based instructional strategies, applied with care and compassion, to help students learn how to read, think critically, and express themselves in meaningful ways.

The Literacy Shed learner actively understands what they are learning, why they are learning it, and how to apply their learning thoughtfully. I aim to encourage thinking and reasoning rather than relying on rote memorisation.

I am always here to support you and your child, so please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Inspired to transform your child's reading and writing experience?
